Aisling Bea

Aisling was born on March 16 1984, in Kildare Ireland. She is one of Ireland's best-known and popular comedians. She appeared with Stephen Fry on QI. Aisling Cliodhnadh O'Sullivan (born 16 March 1984), better known as Aisling Bea is a popular Irish actor, writer and comedian. Bea started appearing as part of the cast in Irish or British TV programs in the year 2009, started her career as a stand-up comedian in the year 2011. She was already regularly performing on sketch comedy shows and sitcoms. After winning an award at the Edinburgh Comedy Awards she began to be booked regularly for numerous panel shows for which she has become a fixture. She was captain of the 8 Out of 10 Cats team from 2016 to 2017 and was a regular contestant in its spinoff, 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown. She was born to Brian O'Sullivan, she is the mother of one sibling named Sinead. In 2012, she became the second woman ever to receive the So You Think You Are Funny Award. Bea, her maiden name, is a tribute to her dad who died in the year 2000. Aisling O'Sullivan, whose real name is as Cliodhnadh Aisling, was born at Kildare town, which is located in County Kildare. Bea's father Brian is an equine veterinarian who killed himself when she was only three years old. Bea didn't learn how her father died until after she turned thirteen. She chose the stage name Bea to pay tribute to her father who passed away. She also wrote a 2017 article in The Guardian on her family's suicide story. Bea's mom Helen was also a jockey-trainer and former pro jockey was in charge of raising her and Sinead. Their family was racing and horse-related. Bea was a guide for her family's involvement at the Irish National Stud in her early teens. However, she knew that it wasn't what she wanted to be in a career and she preferred to perform.
